Luckily this is a known format and there are editors that can edit these files. The program you can use to edit these files is "Microsoft DirectMusic Producer". This is a utility that came with the DirectX8 development tools. Microsoft removed links to the installer. The installer is also 16bit so you'll have issues installing this on anything later than Windows XP. So I've recreated the installer that supports modern operating systems.
